Pedestrian hit by car at Les Banques taken to hospital - BBC

St John Emergency Ambulance Service A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car. The ambulance service was called to Les Banques at about 22:00 BST on Wednesday following reports of a pedestrian being hit by a car. A paramedic assessed the patient at the scene before they were transferred to the emergency department at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital for further care. The road was closed while emergency staff dealt with the incident. St John Emergency Ambulance Service staff have thanked those who were first on the scene for their assistance. This was one of 19 calls for the ambulance service on Wednesday, including a medical evacuation involving a coastguard helicopter. Follow BBC Guernsey on Twitter and Facebook . NFT marketplace OpenSea is teaming up with MoonPay to enable direct credit card payments for the purchase of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), opening the doors to investors that don't own cryptocurrency, according to reports.  People who want to buy, sell, trade, and collect NFTs can pay directly with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other methods, without first having to convert to specific cryptocurrencies, a MoonPay spokesperson told Block Crypto. The online bank ING France has closed hundreds of thousands of accounts, affecting at least 300,000 people. A consumer association has accused it of wanting to "get rid of" less profitable accounts. The accounts appeared to have closed "automatically" from the start of January 2022. ING France announced it was closing its retail banking business on December 21, 21 years after its arrival on the market. It had first announced that it was completing "a strategic review" of its retail banking business in June. As a result, it is preparing to sell its retail business to other banks, such as to Société générale (its offshoot Boursorama), or to Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, for its online bank Fortunéo.
