Real assets chief exits French asset manager - citywireselector.com

René Kassis, head of real and private assets at La Banque Postale Asset Management (LBPAM), has resigned from the group.

Kassis (pictured) announced he would be leaving the French asset manager on LinkedIn. 'I am leaving La Banque Postale Asset Management to take up new challenges in the field of real and private assets.'

During his decade with the group, Kassis said he had helped launch and build LBPAM's private debt platform, which has around €6bn both raised for and invested in infrastructure, real estate and companies across Europe.

Before joining LBPAM in 2012, Kassis worked in project finance at Dexia (now Candriam) where he was in charge of infrastructure between 2002 and 2012 and at Crédit Lyonnais from 1993 to 2002.

LBPAM declined to offer an official comment but said Vincent Cornet will replace Kassis. The group added that Cornet, who currently works for Tocqueville Finance had helped develop real assets expertise within LBPAM. More appointments are expected in the coming weeks.
