Amazon in Talks to Switch Co-Brand Card to Mastercard From Visa - Bloomberg

Amazon.com Inc. is considering shifting its popular co-brand credit card to Mastercard Inc. amid simmering tensions with Visa Inc., a feud that already prompted the retailer to ban the payment giant's cards in the U.K. starting next year.

The Amazon card is one of the industry's largest co-branded portfolios, and the company is using talks to renew the agreement as a way to secure better terms from Visa, according to people familiar with the matter.
