Crestview Inn Restaurant at JVS serving up fish fry Fridays

BLOOMINGDALE — The Crestview Inn Restaurant at Jefferson County Joint Vocational School is holding fish fry Fridays with a variety of treats available for a-in or carryout from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Patrons can enjoy a selection of fried Alaskan cod, popcorn shrimp, french fries, onion rings, hush puppies, cole slaw, tossed salad and bread with a choice of tartar sauce or cocktail sauce. Dinners are $11 each with pie available for $2.

Cash and credit cards are accepted, and patrons may begin calling for orders at 9:30 a.m. For information or to place an order, contact the Crestview Inn at (740) 264-5545, extension 602.

Mingo Knights of Columbus having last fish fry this Friday

MINGO JUNCTION — This Friday marks the last fish fry this Lenten season for the Mingo Knights of Columbus. The hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Patrons can dine in or get carryout.

"As you come into the building, please look for signs for carry-out and dine-in tables. The carry-out table will be in the large hall as you come in the door," Shawn Zarych, grand knight, explained. "There will be two lines with dine-in toward the bar area. Dine-in will have two lines. For phone orders, please call ahead, then come inside to get your order. The lobby will be the waiting area for carry-out."

There are two phone lines with patrons directed to call (740) 535-8037. If line one is busy, it will transfer to line two. Credit cards, debit cards, cash and checks are accepted for orders.

St. Paul's Church in Weirton

holding fish frys during Lent

WEIRTON — St. Paul's Church in Weirton is having a fish fry every Friday during Lent through Good Friday on April 7.

The hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The fish will come from Coleman's Fish Market in Wheeling.

"We will feature fried fish, baked cod and fried shrimp," a spokesperson said. Sides will include french fries, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese and haluski (noodles, cabbage and onions).

The fish fry will be held in the St. Paul School cafeteria located on Walnut Street in downtown Weirton. For pick-up orders, call (304) 797-1182.

at American Legion Post 33

STEUBENVILLE — The Ladies Auxiliary of the Steubenville American Legion Post No. 33, 808 N. Fifth St., Steubenville, is having fish fry Fridays during Lent from noon to 6 p.m.

The dinner for $12 includes a fish sandwich or fish chunks with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies.

A la carte, the menu items and prices are fish sandwich, $8; fish chunks, six pieces, $8; fresh cut french fries, $3; coleslaw, $2; and hush puppies, $3.

Fish frys happening Friday at Pleasant Hill Fire Department

STEUBENVILLE — The Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Department continues its weekly Lenten fish fry at the fire department located at 3297 state Route 213, Steubenville.

The Friday fish frys is dine-in or get carryout. They will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The menu includes a fish, shrimp or chicken tenders dinner that includes french fries and cole slaw, $10; fish sandwich, $7; shrimp basket or chicken tenders, $7; macaroni and cheese or haluski, $3; french fries, $2; and cole slaw or applesauce, $1.

St. Anthony Parish to hold weekly fish fry during Lent

FOLLANSBEE — St. Anthony Parish fish frys will be held every Friday during Lent from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in St Anthony's Church cafeteria, 1017 Jefferson St., Follansbee.

There will be a fish dinner available for $12 and sandwich and chips for $10. The meal includes fish with a bun, cole slaw and macaroni and cheese.

Lenten pierogi sale orders

under way at Weirton church

WEIRTON — A frozen uncooked cheese and potato pierogi sale sponsored by St. Nicholas Orthodox Church continues through Friday.

The cost for a dozen pierogis is $12, and orders can be placed by calling (304) 479-0196. Pierogi pickup at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church Hall, 604 Colliers Way, across from Weirton Medical Center, will be arranged when placing orders.

The pierogis are made by members of the church. According to a promotional flier noting pierogi history, pierogi are filled dumplings made by wrapping unleavened dough around a potato, sauerkraut or prune filling.

Weirton American Legion Post hosting 'Fish Fry Fridays'

WEIRTON — The Weirton American Legion Post 10, located at 3140 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton, will be having Fish Fry Friday until April 7.

The times will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Dinners, which include fish (haddock), fries and cole slaw, are $11. A fish sandwich is $8. Zucchini fries and buffalo chips also are available.

Sacred Heart of Mary hosting Lenten dinners on Wednesdays

WEIRTON — Sacred Heart of Mary Church, located at 200 Preston Ave., Weirton, continues to host its annual Lenten dinners on Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The menu will include baked fish, fried fish, fried shrimp, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries, coleslaw, potato and cheese or sauerkraut pierogi, homemade desserts and homemade bread. Patrons can dine in, call (304) 723-1648 for takeout orders or use their app.
