Temporary traffic lights at Les Banques 'likely to cause disruption' - ITV News
For three weeks there will be temporary traffic lights in place at Les Banques in Guernsey. The lights will be in place from Monday 24 August, as part of the ongoing Belle Greve outfall replacement project. There will be a single lane system for the lights, initially on the northbound carriageway before switching to the southbound carriageway, which is likely to cause disruption during peak commuting hours. The traffic lights will be manually controlled during peak hours. It is never a good time to introduce temporary traffic lights, particularly on such a busy road, but we are hoping that due to the summer holidays combined with the August Bank Holiday, it will be a little quieter than usual for commuter traffic. – Mark Walker, Capital Delivery Manager at Guernsey Water.
